History 25 years in traditional real estate sales! Hard to believe really, proof time does fly when you are having fun. The MLS was a new thing when I became a Realtor. Computers we just emerging, then cell phones, fax machines and the internet.... Technology has changed the real estate industry by leaps and bounds yet the traditional commission based real estate office is still the primary resource to the public. That is changing. The commission is a big number. Sometimes bigger than the sellers equity. It seemed like agents were getting rich. What is not easily apparent are the numbers of potential clients that real estate agents work with that never end with a pay check. In the traditional real estate office real estate agents pay to go to work. Most people don't know that a real estate agent is not an employee of the company. They actually pay approx. 41k a year to have a desk and telephone at those large companies. Then they volunteer to and pay for your cause till you buy or sell - then they get paid. It's lopsided. Most agents are not rich, the large corporations they work for on the other hand is another story. Looking at the real numbers, the average real estate agent sells about 6 houses a year.... People really don't mind paying for services provided to them and appreciate doing business with a company when they know they receive more than fair value in return for their payment. In addition, most real estate agents like their job and what to spend their time productively. With today's technology there are new way to do business and now is the time. Transparency in business is easy for a corporation with real morals and ethics. In addition, Fiscal and Ecological accountability start at home. The real estate agent is in a unique position to educate and provide resources for living in a sustainable world. And now, more than ever, people are ready. It is my dream come true to create this company. Most real estate transactions are about individuals. Individual people, their families and their life. Green Gates is about individuals. The buyers, the sellers, and the agents. It starts with the bottom line to the client. It is my goal that the Green Gates systems uncover the mystery of what a real estate agent does.
