Escrow, "Trust but Verify" is the best attitude to take.  As a 3rd party to the transaction, escrow puts together all the pieces so the end result is what all the parties intended.  Think about that for a minute. Considering how each person interprutes the world differently, the process of escrow and closing can be considered a work of art.   Since there are so many actions to review and check, I strongly recommend regular updates with your escrow agent as this can prevent an undesirable last minute change in your plans, or at minimum give you a spark of warning so the issue can be acknowledged and addressed.  Below are some links to checklists and tips to help you through this final phase of the sale - because you deserve a smooth and easy move.
